Dedicated to mitigating political polarization, we are a youth-led lobbying organization advocating for civility, compromise, and respect in politics. Through our lobbying campaigns, we empower youth to raise their voices, advocating for civil and respectful discourse. Encompassing a broad range of political affiliations, from Democrat to Republican and everything in between, our organization is distinctly youth-led. Run by a passionate and dedicated group of young individuals, America Undivided is a bipartisan organization where the pursuit of political civility and youth activism converges.

Julia Chambers

Founder, Chair

Julia Chambers is a 16-year-old advocate working to address political and diplomatic civility. She currently is the Communications Lead at United Nations Association San Diego and soon to serve as a delegate at the upcoming UN Commission on the Status of Women. Julia's journey into politics began her first year of high school with an internship on a frontline congressional re-election campaign. Following her TEDx talk on political polarization, she became a Civics Unplugged Fellow, as well as a Democracy Summer fellow for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). Julia is the founder and chair of America Undivided, where she is excited to channel her passion for political civility to create change. You can learn more about Julia here.

Conner Huey

Vice Chair

Conner is a student at Harvard University studying Government and History. A dual graduate of a public high school in an industrial Navy town and a community college, Conner is an active public servant working to benefit others. Conner has worked in all federal branches of government and serves as Co-Chair of the Young Leaders Council for the America 250 Congressional Commission, where he is working to cultivate an inclusive celebration of the United States's 250th anniversary in 2026. Conner is especially excited to be serving as the Vice Chair for America Undivided because of its capacity to contribute to democracy renovation efforts that are vitally needed in today’s political landscape.



Zoë Jenkins

Secretary

Zoë Jenkins (she/her) is a 20-year-old practicing empathy and reimagining education. She founded the Get Schooled podcast and is a Senior Advisor of the Kentucky Student Voice Team. Zoë also created DICCE, a curriculum training Gen Z in cultural responsiveness, empathy, and equity. She has worked with Stanford University and The Nobel Prize and has been featured in The Washington Post and NPR’s All Things Considered. Zoë was also selected as a National Geographic Young Explorer for her work in expanding education storytelling among Kentucky’s least-heard students. She directed alumni relations and served on the inaugural Steering Committee at Civics Unplugged. Zoë is a third year at the University of Virginia studying education, politics, and economics.



Emily Kilcrease

Campaign Manager

Emily is a 2022 first-generation graduate from the University of Oregon where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and minored in Legal Studies. A certified labor organizer through the ALF-CIO and California Labor Federation's Organizing Training Institute program, and a two-time alumna of the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights Fellowship program, Emily brings a host of experience in grassroots organizing, labor rights, and human rights. Currently serving as a Carnegie Ethics Fellow in the Carnegie Council of Ethics in International Affairs's inaugural Carnegie Ethics Fellowship cohort, Emily is further developing her skills as a values-driven ethical leader and leading a dedicated team in the creation of an ethical leadership framework on climate migration.



Caroline Nielsen

Outreach Coordinator

Caroline Nielsen is committed to fostering greater civil discussions, particularly within educational environments. Her journey began freshman year when she delved into the realm of Michigan campaigns, serving as an intern for Governor Whitmer, Congresswoman Stevens, and Secretary of Ejate Benson. Throughout her internships, Caroline leveraged her platform to address politicians and community members, shedding light on the alarming lack of respect in political

conversations and articulating her vision for positive change. Beyond campaign work, she has conducted insightful interviews with prominent Michigan politicians, earned coveted positions at roundtables, and participated in summits where she advocated for respect in political discourse.
